Overview of CheMentor Individual Modules - details and on-line samples: This is a 'Practice' module, and it contains only one program
at present. The objective is to calculate the percentage composition of a
compound - given its formula. Later versions of the program will
include mass/mass, mass/volume and volume/volume percentage composition
of solutions. Help is available at each stage - getting the molar mass and setting
up unit factor and you can always peek at the expected answer.
Your answer can be given in either decimal or scientific notation
and there is always an on-screen Text reference (which can be
hidden). The Help is presented in interactive screens, which you can reach
by clicking on the 'Help' button and then selecting an item from
the pop-up menu which appears. You can also give yourself a Test - by clicking on the 'Test'
button. You will be presented with 10 questions. You supply the
answers and after the test is complete, you will be able to review
your answers and see the feedback for each one. The 'Test' mode
is not available in this demo version Try out the program - it should have appeared in the area below.
