Number of Significant Figures in a Quantity

This program works very simply.

To begin, you click on the 'New' button and a number is generated and displayed in a box on the screen.

You type the number of significant digits into the box with the '?'. Then click on the 'Judge' button. Your answer will be processed and feedback will be provided.

The scoreboard will be updated as you make attempts at answering the questions given.

The Text window contains notes on how to work out the number of significant digits in a number. You can remove the Text by clicking on the 'Hide Text' button. Clicking on the 'Text' button restores it.

You can also 'Peek' at the correct answer and you will see some information on how it was arrived at.

You can use the program to give yourself a simple test. See how many of the exercises you can complete correctly by using the Scoreboard. The 'Restart' button clears any existing score and starts you with a new series of exercises.
