Overview of CheMentor Individual Modules - details and on-line samples: This little program appears in its own window and when called
from another program - such as the Formula Recognition and Writing
program, its window is placed in front of the other program window. The program contains several screens with listings of ions. Included
are cations and ions from the periodic table and polyatomic anions
and their related acids. The program operates very simply - click on the formula of an
ion or a compound and you will see its name The acids and their ions are shown in ionization reactions. You
can click on the formula of the acid and see its name and also
the anion. The acids are categorized as binary and oxy-acids - including
the halogen oxy-acid series. This is a very useful program for
practising the naming of ions and acids. Try out the program - it should have appeared in the area below.

The Ions Reference Program
The 'Close' button - not active in this demo version - it closes the window that

of the types of ions and compounds that are present in the program
